Default Health issues for travel to India

As all know that India is a developing country, visitors need to take special precautions against illnesses. A trip to a doctor or travel clinic is recommended well in advance of one’s departure date in order to ensure that one receives all the required medications and immunizations. There are five common health issues for travel to India and those are: 1) Diarrhea 2) Malaria and Dengue fever 3) Hepatitis A and B 4) Typhoid and 5) Tetanus.

I understand the concern raised regarding health care issues in India. People are more prone to health issues in India with the kind of living standards they use to leave in. It is always recommended to cover and secure yourself and your family with health insurance policies.

Well Radhika, I understand the concern you have raised here. But you know opting for a health insurance is not that feasible and affordable for a middle class family, especially when you are having such high inflation in your country. Dont you think health insurance providers should come up with plans where they can safeguard the complete family at affordable rates.

Vishal, I understand the condition of Indian families due to extreme rise in inflation. But you know what, having a health insurance for you and your family is equally important, especially when you are traveling. Contrary to what you have said, I understand the need to such plan. Looking at the condition that you have put forth reminds me of Max Bupa’s family health insurance policy called Heartbeat Family First. It provides health cover for 13 relationships in your family. In my opinion, this is the best plan suitable for an Indian family.
