China says India has forgotten 1962
While China has blamed New Delhi for trying to provoke Beijing by orchestrating Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama's controversial visit to Arunachal Pradesh, India has rubbished the allegation.
"The Dalai Lama went to southern Tibet at this critical moment probably because of pressure from India. By doing so, he can please the country that has hosted him for years," the People's Daily quoted Hu Shisheng, a researcher at the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations, as saying.
The report published in China's state-run newspaper Global times even said that India seems to have forgotten the lessons of 1962 war.
"India may have forgotten the lesson of 1962, when its repeated provocation resulted in military clashes warning. India is on this wrong track again...When the conflict gets sharper and sharper, the Chinese government will have to face it and solve it in a way India has designed," Hu said.
Meanwhile, Minister of State for External Affairs, Shashi Tharoor, on Monday denied Chinese charges, pointing out that New Delhi does not deal with the travels of religious figures.
"The Dalai Lama is free to travel anywhere in India... I have not heard the suggestion comes from us as we do not deal with the spiritual travels of spiritual leaders. He has to visit his flock as he sees fit," Tharoor told the India Economic Summit.
He added that he was "sure that the initiative (to visit Tawang) would have come from him".
Tharoor also said that India had been "very generous" by giving over "58,000 business visas" to the Chinese.
"As far as our basic policy is concerned, we would certainly be hesitant to offer employment to a foreigner for a job which could be done by an Indian in India," said Tharoor.
Earlier, addressing the mass at Arunachal's Tawang, Dalai Lama said Beijing's accusations that his visit was anti-China and damaging to India-China relations are "baseless".
"My visit to Tawang is non-political and aimed at promoting universal brotherhood and nothing else," the Nobel Peace laureate had said.

Why is then that the Naxals and terrorist groups of India are found using Chinese made arms? Dalai Lama is a spiritual figure, who is a revered guest of India. We did not forget 1962 and are building our defenses to the maximum right now. Long have we let Chinese hegemony affect South-East Asia. No more, so stop whining.

most of the Naxals arms are found made in UK USA Russia Burma and Vietnam. How do you explain that? Why is then that the Naxals and terrorist groups of India are found using Chinese made arms?
You don't konw the origin of Dalai and Panchen. The name came from the Ming dynasty. And Dalai commission by central government. In the five huandreds years ago, tibet province is 4 parts, Kamu, Won, Tibet and Ali, since later Qing govnments distribute the four parts into two parts dbus and gtsang center by Lhasa and Shigatse. Dbus leader is Dalai and gtsang leader is panchen. And Dalai and Panchen=vice nomarch, is positions in the China govnment. And Dalai Dainzin Gyaco is not pure Lama but betrayer.Dalai Lama is a spiritual figure
So you continue lying? We did not forget 1962
Why the paper don't tell us the words from which days paper of People's Daily? Why you
fabricate lies. There is not the man called Hu Shisheng.
Global times is running by leftist young cynic, most Chinese read it unseriously. But they have the right abuse China govnment or anything else include 1962 war. Govnment bannot ban their speak right.Last edited by blackcomet; 09-01-2010 at 11:36 AM.

Back to the topic: not many true message. Fictitious person.
1, People's Daily is the most important newspaper in China, its' articles show Chinese govnment views.
If the paper really has the word printed on paper "India has forgotten 1962", it=war broke out.
But I doubt the truth of the report.
2, Global times? a commercial newspaper. dont' take it seriously.
When you need a licence, affiliated to someone who own licence is a easy way.
Under People's Daily publishing company, there are more than one hundred commercial newspaper and magazine, including Global times. Also the People's Daily Online or Global times online, free news station.
PS it is funny that I can't find the article wroten in Chinese.Last edited by blackcomet; 09-01-2010 at 02:59 PM.
