Should prostitution be legalised in india?
Every now and then I keep reading in the newspapers about the problem of human trafficking and sexual exploitation in India. I really think legalising prostitution could put an end to this problem. What do u think?

Think twice before legalizing prostitution
There are several issues with which the lawyers have to deal with. And the latest issue is about the legalization of prostitution in India. This is also a social issue but it can prove dangerous if it is legalized. The children and their problems must be solved and they also have the same right and duty like any other citizens in India. But India must be thoughtful about the legalization of prostitution.

i don't know its a powerful tool that can be misused. the fact still remains that there are legal drinks and shops from where to buy them, yet there is black dealing in the same in many states. if properly implemented legalizing prostitution might help y empowering prostitutes but it will also open a new door for many pimps. and believe me they know how to find a way of perverting everything. we don't stand a chance against them. its shitty but we have to admit it

Prostitution as a licensed business
In the Indian perspective by no means a women would want to turn a prostitute unless under severe circumstances. If we do legalize the activity, more and more number of women will be forced to get into it and we cannot let that happen. To deal with prostitution we should first deal with women manhandling. In no way can we legalize it, but on the other hand we should try and do something for the people who are forced into it.

Should prostitution be legalised in India?
Legalization will certainly open many doors, which will finally lead many innocent women into this hell. However, there should be a mid way of dealing with this situation, where the women who are already a victim of this get some support. Secondly there should be proper punishment for the people who commit such offense. But yes, the law should not be feeble, for any women to use it in their favor and innocent men unnecessarily have to undergo through a trail.

no, i am strongly against this. legalizing prostitution will pave way for women traffickers and india will become more rampant in prostitution. india is a nation which is known for its ethical and cultural values around the globe and legalizing this will turn people of india more dirty. we respect women and are against any such rule.

no in my view it should not be legalized in india as this will open more gateways for brothels and pimps to expand their business. indian police should work hard on preventing little and innocent girls being tormented and being forced to do prostitution. its a shame on indian police workforce if any girl is forced into such heinous act

A big no to prostitution in india! I am completely against this profession as indian culture and tradition do not teach us selling our body but it does teach us how to protect it against molestation. This profession is very much in trend and legalized in Countries like Thailand, Bangkok and other countries but it should not be legalized in india. There are already many evils that are prevailing and why to add one more!! ?? :O

Legalizing Prostitution would mean professionalizing the prostitution which i think is not suitable for a country like India to take such an action. In India women are given utmost respect and giving a go to legalization of prostitution would not only downgrade our age old ethical values but also increase the number of workers which take up prostitution either willfully or forcefully.
