Using mobile phones in campuses
I am an engineering student.I know that there is a verdict from honourable high court kerala that using mobile phones in campuses is strictly prohibited for teachers as well as students. But in our college,it was not implemented yet. They didnt even published it in notice boards.Last day, they came in class rooms and seized our mobiles including mine.Later next day, they returned it back by taking an apology from us.But I didnot get my mobile back. When I enquired about this,I came to know that my phone is missing from them. When I contacted principal for fun,he told me that my phone is gone.what should i do now?I have no evidence(only eye witness) that my mobile is seized by college authorities. So I cant go court for my phone.can I file a petition against that particular staff(for theft) that seized my phone?Anyone knows the rules and regulations for seizing a mobile from campus.?pls give me a solution.........

An offensive act
Using mobile phones in campuses is very much offensive. There must be laws to prevent this but there are no such laws. Hence to prevent the cell phones the educational campuses have implemented different rules and regulation on the use of the cell phones. The students have to switch off and submit the mobile phones before they attend the class.

It’s the awareness that need to be spread
How much you try you cannot stop people from bringing mobile phones into campuses. It will always remain a debatable topic as it’s the parents who want their children to have a mobile with them so that they can assure themselves of their safety. We need to generate guidelines according to which students can bring their phones inside the campus but not use them. Once they are outside they are free enough.

i think mobile phones should not be allowed into the campus or into the class rooms. and the laws should be specific rather than just making some stupid laws and letting people to do anything they want. there should be complete stipulations regarding the laws made. think of the students who study in schools. they do not have cell phones but they make out through their entire schooling so cell phones are not compulsary

i think mobile phones can be allowed into the campuses but they should not allow them into classes as students get distracted into using cell phones during the class hours. management authorities can provide a shelf locker or something to put their accessories so that they are safe in the campus.

Moblie phones have become a necessity in the modern day world. It has become an integral part of our lives and evryone from a small child to an old man has a mobile phone nowadays. In my view mobile phones should not be allowed in the campuses. A lawon ban on mobile phone usagein the campus has been passed by the Kerela High Court. However, people still are not following the verdict of the Hon'ble Court and the use of mobile phone is still there in the campuses even in the Law College Campuses. It is a matter of real shame for us.
