    Default Judicial Accoutability Bill

The judicial accoutability bill 2010 sets judicial standards and holds judges accountable for their lapses. Apart from this bill, there is no sure shot mechanism to hold judges accountable for any of their lapses or any of the complaints received against them. This bill would replace the judicial inquiry act, though not completely, would retain some of its basic features. Please share your views on this bill.

Judicial Accountability Bill 2010 aspires to help in setting up new standards to the Indian judiciary. It puts down judicial standards and grants for accountability of judges, and, to set up reliable and useful means for probing into individual complaints for misbehavior or incapacity of a judge of the Supreme Court or of a High Court. It also endows with to legalize the modus operandi for such investigation; and for the presentation of an address by parliament to the President in relation to proceeding for removal of a judge and the like. How far according to you will this bill be able to fulfill its objectives?
