Breast feeding myths

This thread is not for copy-pasting breast feeding myths from womens Health websites.

I have started this thread, in hope that new moms who hear Breast Feeding myths from parents or In-laws can discuss it out and get answers. and maybe this can even help or encourage them to try/continue breast feeding in face of family pressure.

I was disheartened to know that many genuinely believe that when new mothers do not cover their head/ears they risk making their Breast feeding babies sick. Moms can not make their babies sick through BM.In very RARE cases, illnesses can transfer through BM, but not routine cough/ colds.
