Women’s Day - 8 March - is an occasion which is celebrated across the globe by the women fraternity. UN also commemorates this special day of the women and in many parts across the world it is regarded as a national holiday. Women, on this special day, are knit together barring the ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic and political differences. Women come together to celebrate this day which represents their struggle for equality, justice, peace and development going on for ages. Women have always made history and tried to have an equal footing with the men and Women's Day is just that special day to commemorate the struggle of women. Liberty, equality and fraternity - these are the key demands of women on Women’s Day.
