Media is called the fourth pillar of democracy. But has it really been carrying out its responsibility. These days, news channels are the most popular form of media. People can instantly view any incident. But what do u see in the news channels? From the type of news that is telecasted in most of the news channels, it can be assumed that the channels are just in the business of infotaintment (entertainment in the form of news).

If we go deeply, it comes out that most of the news channels are just some business houses whose ultimate objective is to maximize profit. They aim at getting the highest TRP by attracting the people with some spicy news. Here the question on the mindset of the people also comes in. why the interest of the masses is so cheap? Why are they more interested in some meaningless news? Is our value system collapsing? Has our education system failed to shape the intellect of the people?

Government has also the responsibility. They must have to regulate the news channel. The freedom of press should not be allowed to misuse. The news channels must be compelled to telecast news for national interest. Is it possible?

Reply to your questions is clear. Whether we accept it or not.

I hope it is clear. The main problem is with our Constitution, Judiciary System, Administration, Election System and Education, but we are not ready to change it and facing several silly problems. But we shall go on discussing such issues, but will never be ready to change the route causes of the problems. We are good at discussions only. Isn't it?

common wanted some time pass. he is not worried about the news.he will be going on eating some thing while watching the T.V. more so if the event i spicy! they are not concerned with the burning of buses by the masses. they are not concerned with the pelting of stones to the policemen; they are not concerned with the policemen dragging the people to the police vans. all that they want to see something spicy......the educated????? they go in masses and burn buses...beat nagamjanardanareddy with chappals......burn the flags...break the barriers....government has failed ...they see helpless when the car name plates are recklessly altered....they are not concerned even if the people on fast unto death eat daily in some form and they continue to enter into a dialogue with them.....

ultimately the news that the a missing person who is present at NIMs is also telecast or the top Naxalite's speech will be telecast live to observe a bundh/that they will hack the police to death on the penultimate day!
all this is freedom! and Kasab will be defended in the court that he does not know even a .022 air rifle!

when we say that most of our media is controlled by large business group,it impels that media will take into account only profit oriented approach.Except DD all news channels are heavily negative in their presentation and always tend to sensationalize and over react to such news which may otherwise go unnoticed.The only possible remedy is self imposed regulation that we should change the channel.

If only the DD news is positive in their presentation, why are the people not interested to watch DD News?
People don't watch it though it comes free of cost? What should we do to change the attitude of the people?

Indian news channels are known as teh 4th pillar of democracy but how far is it true? I dn't think at all.. they are just deteriorating the condition of the country by favoring one party or another,.genuine opinion has vanished some where,,,

The Indian news channels are really good and they help the viewers to get all different types news based on political, economical, social, entertainment, sports, and weather forecasting. There are different chat shows conducted by the eminent personalities. The viewers get the chance to interact with them through different ways. The news channels running smoothly and they often balance the world of general news and entertainment news.

well i would like to say on the DD Channel, it is controlled by the government. though it presents sensible and positive news, not many people watch it. reason is simple-the standards. it lacks the standards what the other channels maintain. the technologies, the news anchor, the updated news, proper telecasting etc.

Indian news channel are there to inform and educate people of the nation about the latest developments of the country. But this concept somewhere has lost its glory. However, the channels of today are working more on TRP rating and catching of the eye balls. Where to the issues which are relevant are suppressed, while the ones that do not need much of attention are hyped like anything. The Indian new channels nowadays are more a mode of entertainment, which runs 24 hours a day.

firstly the media people should transform themselves into loyal and rightful towards their duty and to the nation. this is because even if we make any laws to prosecute any media person, there are many ways to evade. so there should be inculcation of right values and ethics so that media goes fair and just and the news is reliable.

indian news channels have just become money making machines these days. the news shown by the channels is more of entertainment based which lures people into watching them. india needs a more sensible and responsible media to carry forward the nation with right attitude. atleast there should be one such powerful news channel

Indian news channels can do better by improving the quality of information it brings to the front. Instead of showing the non-sense Tv soaps and serial clips on news channels, they can show some educative information from which viewers can benefit. Due to the low quality content shown by the indian media, their reputation is diminishing day by day.

Indian news chanels are of no use thesse days as they are always behind the high TRP's for their channel. Everything has become business now no matter if that is the case with the so called more responsible media channels. Media houses have become a puppet in the hands of few politicians and high profile people.
