I was just wondering about the restrictions of indian media. I have studied the mass comunication from Delhi and I was going through the details of the mass communication and what it is how it arises and what all are the restrictions of mass communications on indian media. There are several restrictions that media people have to face but they hardly care about them.

Let us discuss some of the major restrictions of indian media.

There should be some restrictions on indian media as they uses it for their own benefits. I am a mass comm student and i guess there are still some restrictions on media like they cannot show any indecent pictures or reveal any information that attack on the indian security. Media should reveal the news within its limitations and without harming anyone.

there are ought to be restrictions in media because if you give away complete rights to the media to portray whatever they wish to, then all the channels would not hesitate to show anything that could harm indian security or which may be obscene. news channels should also again be categorized as entertainment news channels and ordinary news channels so that all of them do not get same status.

if media is let out to broadcast whatever it wants, then it would obviously go astray in the way of monetary gains, putting the vulnerability of the viewers at stake. there are restrictions laid upon media but i think it should be monitored properly and regulated strictly without any apprehensions.
