Media is the mirror image of the society. Media builds consent of the nation for which the nation advances and cultivates in its intellect, culture and dynamism. In recent times the Indian media presents themselves with such a disbeliever image that it is failed to understand the reasons for why the channel holders are airing. Media looks like unhappy.

The reason is India being democratic so it is free for the media to broadcast such things which are valueless. It itself degrade its standard to a newer version. Not only media is responsible but also the Entertania. India is free and at the same time Independent Entertania.

There was a recent incident where a couple with their local guardian. One day they have some quarrel and the wife went to the police station and she filed a complaint against the guardian where she charged the man of molesting and rape. This news was then reached to the media and it lit a fire. They make the judgment and the entire story was broadcasted. After which he was declared as convict and action was taken against him.

After this case the husband and wife were so much ashamed that they both committed suicide. Later the police when investigated found that they were not culprit but the couple was the guilt. The couple dies because they cannot resist the blame. These were now a day’s the common and entertaining news. Later on the media people apologies to increase their credit.

This is the most usual news and increase in numbers. Almost in every news channel this is the common news. Also the terror attack which happened in India showed an entire new face. Media Reporter are Great Actors.

This shows that Indian media is irresponsible and Sensationalizing News . But it is not the only fault of the media person some what the Indian public is also responsible, because due to their interest the News channels are showing this type of news.

Media is surely responsible for all what happen in the country in terms of creating opinions and views of the people on any issue. Media can make and break the news as well as it is responsible for the suicide of the couple that talked about in the upper post. If they would have not entered in to the personal life of people then the matter would have been resolved without any guilt, but that does happen and so is the reason behind all this guilt and mis-happening. Media should understand its responsibility well in order to create harmony and valuable news.

@LI: We all blame india but have we ever though what we want? We are the only one who want to see all these updates and spicy news. We are not bothered with the people's problem but we are very much concerned with our entertainment and hence this is the reason why media person show this. The day we raise our voice against these news channels and ask them to show the reality, that day would not be far when we will taste the news of real media.

It’s the fault of media; they are always back of increasing their TRP ratings.
This is all because of competition; three or four channels are not enough to present news or what?
Because of competition media business is run by TRP ratings and more TRP ratings more advertisements, more advertisements more salary

i think media should act more responsible towards our society because it is very much capable of bringing the changes in it. whatever is broadcasted on television affects drastically to everyone's lives. it should also consider in not interrupting one's privacy because media does not have right to disrupt anyone's personal life with its activity.

Media has become Irresponsible these days. Media role is very important i any issue of the country. The Media is lately getting off track sensationalizing events that generate hype rather than core issues plaguing economy. Moreover, lately the issues being reported are more controlled and not necessarily factual. Media should be more real and show the actual facts and figures to the people to make the genuine consensus.

In my view, Indian media needs to realize their responsibility as they have lost their track and is seem to be greatly misusing the freedom conferred to press by the Indian Constitution. Media today has turned out to be a money making business rather than being the mirror of the society. They are today influenced by the politicians and this can only be rectified by making the Indian media realize the responsibility entrusted upon them.
