So, who is Indra Nooyi?
Indra Nooyi is CEO of PepsiCo, food and beverage companies of the world. she was the primary architect of Pepsi’s business growth strategy. Indira Nooyi served as Chairman and CEO on 1st of October 06. Indira Nooyi designed the Pepsico company’s global strategy.Before becoming CEO of Pepsico, Indira became president and Chief Financial Officer of Pepsico from 2001. Indira Nooyi is responsible for starting of Business strategy, business processes, finance ,enterprise and innovation platform.
Indra Nooyi graduated from Madras Christian College, an MBA from the IIM in Calcutta, and a Master of Public and Private Management from Yale University , United states of America.
But the real struggle of Indira Nooyi is truly extraordinary. She was born in Chennai, India in 1955 is growing among the middle class and broken conservative rule.She joined the Indian womens cricket team. After earning her bachelor degree in physics, Chemistry and maths, Indira Nooyi went to register at the IIM in Calcutta.
After working at Many Indian Companies , she then moved to USA to study in the USA, and was accepted at Yale University Graduate School of Management in New Haven. Surprisingly, Indira's parents agreed and let her move to USA. In fact, in 1978, never heard that an Indian woman fly for studying far across the country.To survive in United states , she had worked as a receptionist.
She also became the main deal maker for 2 important acquisitions of Tropicana orange juice companies buy U.S. $ 3.3 billion in 1998 and Quaker Oats for U.S. $ 14 billion. With this success, Indra Nooyi promoted to chief financial officer in year 2000. That is the highest position among Indian women in American companies. A year later, she was given the title president.
