Thread: What are the Responsibilities of a patriot ?

It is important to understand the civic responsibilities, in order to be a proper patriot or he should first become a good citizen. Our national constitution demands certain fundamental duties which a citizen should practice to the best of his ability. In addition to this, the author is of opinion that, a citizen needs to position himself properly in the local and central administration system, so as to avail the services offered by the nation. Services offered to him by the nation are not favors but a citizen’s right. He should not waste the opportunities given to him in the form of materials/documents/services as; these opportunities are the one for the nation itself, for its growth. If the citizen does not consider the services, administrative procedures of the nation as important, then he in turn do not have the right to claim that he is important, in front of the nation.

He should bring the short comings of the social system (no matter however small it is), to the attention of concerned authority and try to rectify it either by himself or with the help of others. He should also understand the administration system, jurisdiction under which his activities are controlled. For this he should obtain proper education. If he cannot afford to a quality education from a private institute, then he should obtain this free of cost from a Government run institute. Before demanding his rights from the Government, he should ensure his eligibility for the right. He should also plan his activities well in advance, so as to avoid waste of money and time to himself and others. He should ensure that any law and order issue is his vicinity is cleared in a justified manner.

What I think is that in our hectic schedule, we should spend at least a few minutes to contribute something for the sake of our nation. Everyone is gifted with some talents. And it should get expressed for becoming self dependent and contributing something to our country.

a patriot should act wisely and take responsibilty as a citizen of the nation. every one of us have a patriot hidden in us and we should discover it and take part actively in various events and activities conducted by civic authorities or welfare authorities and make some worthwhile contributions.

There is no such category of patriot or a common man. A common man if playing a small part in making india a better place to live in then it means that the person is patriotic in his own way. You do not need to have a taboo of patriot in order to show your patriotism towards your nation. we all can contribute in a single way to show that we are responsible for the deeds that affect our nation.

There are no such responsibility of a patriot that can be divided and bounded in any terms and conditions. Patriotism is the feeling that comes from inside and every one is free to to do what ever they want to do. The responsibility of the patriot is nothing but fulfilling the responsibility that is required to keep the spirits high of the nation. You can do all things in your own little way such as you should not throw garbage on the road and vote in every election. if you fulfill such duties well then you are being a responsible indian and fulfilling your duties in the better way.
