what is Patriotism ?

Patriotism is considered as the noblest of all sentiments. What makes the love towards country different from other forms of love is its social nature. Love between parents and children, friends, couples are quite familiar to us, since we pass through this in our everyday life. These forms of love especially between near and dear form bonds which give hopes for an individual which fuels his urge to live. Such a true love can be for love sake only or without expecting anything in return.Is patriotism dead in India ?

I love my country. She is my mother. My India cannot ever be wrong. India is always right, was right and will also be always right. People of India are also always right, may be the politicians can be ( and most probably always) wrong.

PATRIOTISM is something really GREAT which cannot be described in words at all,it is something more than that.Patriotism never die it only needs provocation.

Patriotism is feeling that comes in oneself when one hears anything about india be it anything but if you develop an empathetic feeling you are a patriot . The feeling that makes you distinct from others, cheering for every indian , wishing/ hoping for the best for any indian in international scene....that's patriotism if this is there every other duty follows suit.

Patriotism is not yet dead ,but i would say is in the path of ...

Patriotism is a great feeling of belongingness to the greatest nation ''INDIA'' It is that strength which brings the nation together to fight for the nation !

Patriotism will never be dead bcuz patriotism lies in the word 'INDIA' itself and i will never let it die till my last breath !

Patriotism is just a passion of love and respect to nation and its citizens and patriotism aims to strengthen this bond of love through targeted efforts of patriots towards growth and development of its citizens by peaceful means.No, it hasn't died and will not die

Patriotism means to me to stand firm for what your country stands for, I strongly support my Motherland!

Patriotism is a deep feeling of pride & love one has for his or her nation, best felt than explained. It is important because it helps the citizens of one country live together as brothers and sisters and plays a major role in maintaining peace and harmony.

The very facts that make Patriotism different are that there are expectations in return. Unlike other forms of love, where the individual form an epicenter encircled by group of friends and relatives patriotism is supposed to web within geo-social boundary. Individuals love the national community and express the love in the form of fulfillment of his or her civic responsibilities. The Nation returns the love in the form of civilian rights. There is an agent between the individual and Nation which makes patriotism fruitful, i.e Governmental machinery. Perhaps this is one of the cases where an external agent is required between two partners of lovers.
