Do you all think that under the influence of western culture ,need of name,fame money and success the GEN Y is patriotic? please do answer.......

Its true that most of Indians of present generation are patriotic but not all.I have seen many Indian people who being Indians don't love our nation

Esha ,I agree that there are many Indians out there who are not patriotic and blame the system in our country. When you hear someone saying I don't like or love India next time, don't just listen but prove your point of so much good in our country that you need to be proud of.

Once you step out of country you really come to know that how great our country is..the best place to live in. I take so proud in being an Indian.

hey I am new proud member and this is my first post here in this India Forum.

all I want to say is that, every Indian represents India and is responsible for what India is. those who say that they don't love their country are the ones who really don't want to dirty their hands in cleaning India to make it a better place to live in. Those who really believe in development, believe in really doing something for it, others just believe in easy living on second class citizenship of some developed country....

Today's Indian Generation needs to first understand the term PATRIOTISM !

Well, changed lifestyle should not be set as a proof that today's generation is not patriotic. Earlier India suffered many blows like wars, floods, hunger, droughts, epidemics, etc.....and these lows made our countrymen come together in tough times.....nowadays...we feel emergency when Stock Market falls....I guess if some 'real' emergency hits India....then our patriotism will be on test. Today's generation patriotism is above average...but it must be more.

Today's generation of India is as patriotic as one can ever be. They know what are doing and how the steps they take will be affecting their nation. They are all set to take India to the next level.
