one very good reason could be that youth are dominated when they venture into the vast and corrupt world of politics. even if few youths try join politics, they are dominated by the elderly politicians and are hindered by them to make any useful changes in the system or with the public. secondly, youth do not find enough courage and financial support to stand into the politics....are there any more reasonS???

nice question out there... i think youth are not interested in joining the dirty politics as it cannot be made clean by just few young people. the reason being they are not allowed to come with the their ideas as this would not allow the corruption to run any more. youth dont see any future by getting into this stream

In my view the major reason for this is our indian political system is totally corrupted and engaged in criminal activities. And our politics comprises majorly of elderly people who have the habit of dominating others and in such a peer pressure, i do not think the indian youth can survive fighting the odds in the system and at the same time give their best.

Indian youth is not joining politics due to many reasons. First of all they are afraid of entering in to politics as they know that nothing could be changed in the political system as even if they want to bring some change the politicians who are experienced would not let them do this and then they will be dethroned from the ruling chair. Secondly they know that entering into politics means becoming dirty with the fish inside the system. Alone a person cannot do anything until people are with him.

I agree to some of the reasons stated here that the politicians working right now are not willing to retire from work and hence there are inadequate vacancies. Secondly, the elderly politicians do not let the youth to come up as they try to subjugate them in every aspect. Thirdly the reservation system prevailing even in the political areas which is the reason why it is very hard for youth to venture into politics.

Even if youth join the politics, our politicians won't let them come up. Most of the parties which are in power gain that position by spending huge amount of money. Youth cannot garner such huge amount of money. Moreover youth can only succeed in bringing the right change if they are perfectly immune to corruption. Can we expect youth of India to stand immune against the personal benefits which they can get by indulging in corrupt practices?

In the present time, politics has turned out to be a family business. Youths are not encouraged to join politics who does not have a political background. It is sad that politicians no longer work for the gain of the nation rather for their personal gains. The youths seen in politics today come from families that are already into politics like joining a family business.
