    @khushboo: Also we must not leave the issue of education for older people. Elder people are exploited a lot because of their illiteracy. Also once these people know the importance of education they will certainly do the needful to get their children educated also.

    Education is a fundamental right conferred to every citizen by the Constitution of India. It is essential that every child receives proper education as it is the basis for development of every individual. Education is important for everyone and people of lower-economic status is no exception to it. However, the Government has made a remarkable effort by enacting the Right To Education Act. This act is enacted to let every child receive education irrespective of economic status, caste, religion, language etc. Free elementary education is provided in government schools upto the age of 14yrs.
