Thread: Dhoni VS Ganguly

guys just look at Mahender singh dhoni, he already has a legacy with him. he has killed the best sides at their turf within 1-2 years of captaincy. he has created a team who every1 in the world will fear.

while i accept ganguly was a successful captain but i don't think he can ever come close to what Dhoni has already achieved. people who talk about him being most successful captain should also know that he had lost most numbers of finals as an Indian captain.


Dhoni is creating a dress room chemistry by skilled man-management but wat ganguly did was creating camps, he actually used shout at players, abuse them, Have anyone of you seen Dhoni doing this???

I know know it doesn't matter much now but ganguly ruined the career of Off-spinner Sunil Joshi.

Ganguly has got just victories to his name but MSD has the victories along with EUPHORIA around the team.

Under Ganguly team never threatened the No.1 position holders, now we are all set to be No.1.

so after all Dhoni has proved himself way better then Ganguly.

DADA was and will always remain a icon in Captaincy.but the vibrance that I can feel sitting at home seeing Mahendra singh dhoni is something out of the world.He is firm , he is cool & composed , he is consistent , leads from the front , nothing else is played than just pure cricket , amazing decisions , quick senses , can handle masters in team yet down to earth . thats Dhoni !

Dhoni is the good captain and Dada is the amazing player.

i lik DADA's Batting as well captaincy too. He is G8 captain for india...........

I don't agree with u, because Ganguly was a great captain & successful in his work. It was Ganguly who had made the INDIAN team proud by creating the team strong when it was under match fixing. It was Ganguly who brought great players to our country. Where as MSD had become caption when the team was growing ,so he is able to go and win matches.
When it comes to both Ganguly was good during his time & MSD is good during his time.

dada s a good captain and a amazing batsman. dhoni is a good captain and a good wicket keeper bats man. in my openion, they are equelly good captain's.

ganguly was a good captain and led the indian cricket team well. however i must say that it was tough time during that session as the players were not in good form. but things are little different with dhoni, the players are in good form and are experienced themselves and so they do not need dhoni. but he has seemed to be a lucky guy as india has won world cup during his tenure..

There is no comparison between the duo. Dhoni is an amazing captain whereas ganguly was a good player. We have won world cup and many test and international matches just because of the captain-ship of Dhoni. he is an outstanding captain who knows how to handle the team and how to motivate the team as well as handle the pressure. Ganguly was just a player.
