Default New sports minister of Indian Sports

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh replaced sports and youth affairs minister Manohar Singh Gill with Ajay Maken as Gill was blamed for the corruption-hit games. Ajay Maken is a cricket and golf enthusiast. Do you think that this minister would brig some drastic change in indian sports and would make policies to mend the sports structure in india? Will indian national game be able to get the recognition and value as its deserved? Lets hope that he will make some great changes and will do promote the games which are far far far better than the game like cricket or any other international sports.

I personally do not know much about mr.maken but one thing i have seen him actively doing and that is supporting marks for sports campaign. If marks for sports is introduced in India every student during the schooling will have to garner some marks in sports to pass the matriculation. In other words, government is planning to introduce sports as a separate subject just as the rest in order to make every indian child healthy and active.
