history of indian sports is quite old and people are playing games since the time of Britishers and may be before. but that time the games were less and few people are involved in playing such games. In the year of 1982 at the time of organization of the IX Asian Games in New Delhi, the ministry of Youth Affairs and sports came into effect as the Department of Indian Sports.

The history of Indian sports remain quite rich than current indian sport's scenario. People are following trends and sports blindly without giving a thought if the sport is really worth it. Today, we have only cricket as majorly supported sport whereas the other sports lie dormant due to lack of attention from sports ministry as well as the media and the people. What do you suggest can be done to revive the historical sports culture in India?
