    Default Failed liquor ban

When Jaylalitha was in power in her previous tenure she took a very bold and humane step of banning liquor in Tamilnadu. This was aimed at the welfare of the people. But because of many reasons it could not survive for a long time. Banning liquor cannot be successful but can be minimized or licensed. There should be the rule that below the age of 20 or 21 people should be debarred of purchasing liquor and shopkeepers should not be allowed to give liquor to the person who is less than the given age. Like this the selling of liquor can be reduced. It is quite impossible to ban liquor in any city.

i agree with the suggestion given, but i also think that shopkeepers would not follow such rules because, all they want is money. People are ready to pay extra for liquor, provided they get it hassle free though they are not supposed to buy. But government must surely give it a try to impose restrictions on sale of liquor and at the same time impose penalty on the shopkeepers if they fail to abide by the rules.
