Thread: Celebrities, a soft target for income tax department!

Income Tax department raids celebrities so often. After getting complaints of disproportionate wealth IT officials raided offices and residences of famous South Indian actors Mamooty and Mohan. The raids started on 22nd July and are conducted at the same time at their premises in Tamilnadu and Kerala both the states. Before that actress Priyanka Chopra was targeted and then carores of rupees property and other things were found under her name. Does these income tax officers find it easy to raid the celebrities?

Income Tax officials can always check with the celebrities but they are soft on them for some reasons. Most of the celebs do not pay complete taxes in order to save their money though they have huge amounts of money stuffed in their bank accounts. I think the IT officials should first target the politicians and celebs rather than common people because it is them who evade most of the taxation money.
