India because of its rich art and culture is one of the major global destinations for tourists. Every year several of tourist travel to India from around the world and now India is able to make lot of profit through this sector. However, people around the world appreciate India’s rich heritage and culture, but they do not feel the same about the country’s hygienic conditions. They also feel irritated about the cheater and beggars pursuing them and feel that the security parameters are not good. These factors are indirectly or directly hurting these tourists and creating a negative image about India.

What measures should be taken to keep India rich image alive and vivacious?

loads of people throng india all the time to visit its historical and cultural places. india is famous for its high traditional values that it holds. most of our places are unhygenic and dirty, unfit for living. we should try to make our places clean. indian government should take initiatives to make cities and places more cleaner. beggars are becoming too much these days and they should be removed from streets and should be given some jobs instead.

India is a mixed and contrasting (great-worst) experience for foreigners. It depends on region to region what they witness more.

i think india's a great place to visit but there are some places which are plagued by criminals and such places should be avoided by the tourists. india is a free country with not much rules and rule abiding people. tourists must keep this in mind and try to know about the safer places to visit. some fall prey into untoward incidents who have bad perspective but on the whole i think india is good place from visitors perspective.

We've great cultural heritage in our country but as a individual we need to make proper effort to make them preserve for coming generation and for foreigners as well. We should behave like a well-mannered person. Like we don't need to split on our monuments, never write name etc. This is how we can really take care of them.

It is a general notion that people can make good money from foreigners.
So everyone tries to woo the visitors.
Stict punishment should be enforsed for cheating or misbehaving with foreigners.
with regards to hygeine... nothing can be done unless people understand the consequence of the unhygeinic conditions. Be it cleaning our locality or cleaning county from corruption... like Kalam says, it should start from our own house..

as of now india's image is not so good from tourists perspective because indians always try to loot the foreigners and moreover there is lot of physical harassment being done by some of the mischievous brats on streets which makes them give india a wrong thought that whole nation is as such. people of india raise your voice against such culprits who are demolishing indias image.. such people should be punished very strictly.

No one, I challenge say, will investigate about India via any form of media as well as not find substance that suggests poverty, violence, unrest and endangerment. But to taste the traveling experience in India one has to come to India and explore as much as they can. India possesses a wonderful enduring image that is pleasing and one can never forget the traveling experience to India.

india's image is as cool as the places in india from the tourists perspective this is the only reason people visit India in a huge numbers from all over the world. though there are people in india who misbehaves with the tourists but which country is spare from such issue? still people like to visit the beauty of india again and again.

india is a brand of tourism for many tourists around the world and so is the reason why many people throng to indian places every year. however there are instances at some places like goa where some unwanted incidents took place in the past which brought an alarming situation to the tourists visiting goa. but for the rest of places, india is magnificent.
