Thread: Single working mother

Even though India has advanced so much, there are still some traditional rules that are creating complication for Indian women. The concept of single working mother is still not accepted very much. Every school and universities always ask for father’s name, irrespective of the fact. Rarely does it happen that the mother’s name and profession matters the most in the Child’s application form. Traditionally we always say that the status of the mother is equivalent with god and above father; but socially we don’t see it happening.

The concept of single mother is not yet admired in indian culture as we still believe in the institution of marriage. Single mothers are accepted in the metro cities like mumbai, pune, chandigarh and banglore. But they are not so popular in the cities like rajisthan, up or bihar. These mothers still glanced as hatred and are abandoned by the society.

Single mothers are not considered as good in the eyes of those orthodox indians. this concept is literally popular only in metro cities but still there are many people who cannot accept these mothers and throw tantrums on them. but this is completely wrong, and when men got the freedom to do anything then why this discrimination between men and women pops up?

Single mothers bear a lot of responsibilities on their shoulder. They are very strong women. Single working mothers needs the support of their kids and their involvement in home matters as they do not have any one else to support and cooperate them. This is the responsibility of the children to understand this thing. These women bears a lot of trouble as they are not yet accepted by the society so conflicts remains a lot for them. life is not at all easy for such women.
